The Salesforce talent ecosystem in Central Europe (CE) is starting the new year strong with talent initiatives that will help over 100,000 job seekers in the region find their dream jobs by 2024! Let’s look at a few partners’ talent development success stories across Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and Austria.

MYCOM

Based in Berlin, Salesforce Partner MYCOM specializes in driving digital transformation for service and sales organizations. Karsten Baumhöfer, CEO and founder of MYCOM GmbH says, “We owe the quality, passion, and reliability experienced by our customers through our team members. With high motivation, solution orientation, competence, and a lot of understanding for the goals and expectations of our clients, we master all challenges together.” Here’s how they accomplish this:

  • MYCOM follows clear values of trust, growth, innovation, equality, customer success, transparency, social commitment, well-being, and fun. They encourage flexible working models (e.g., part-time, job sharing, working in tandem) to promote work-life balance.
  • They connect with early talent at universities and educational institutions and support their professional development. MYCOM regularly participates in the “campus-X-change” job fair at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the largest recruiting fair for academic professionals in the state of Brandenburg.
  • Trailhead trains and educates each MYCOMer as they prepare for further certification. It’s also used to expand MYCOM’s competencies across all Salesforce clouds, products, and knowledge areas.

Nexell

As a boutique Swiss company and Europe’s first Salesforce partner for 20 years, Nexell empowers businesses and nonprofit organizations to work differently from the inside so that they can make a difference on the outside. Nexell’s founder and managing partner, John Sas says, “Our motto: sharing is caring! Helping you be the best you can be - putting relationships at the center of CRM.” Here’s how they give back and increase employee engagement:

  • Nexell is one of the first supporters of Bring Women Back to Work. They mentor participants and support marketing activities like blog articles and social media promotion.
  • They regularly teach the future generation of business administration Trailblazers at the University of Bernon on topics like platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and Salesforce implementation from a business perspective.
  • Nexell company’s culture and ongoing cross-disciplinary training increase employee satisfaction with an average employee retention time of five plus years! Employees participate and earn certifications through programs like Cloud Futura and the Professional Services (PS) Catalyst by APMG International.

Deloitte Digital

Deloitte Digital in Warsaw aims to connect ideas, technology, and talent. “We display individuals’ potential by appreciating their backgrounds and approach to problems. It lets our team flourish and gives trainees wings for their Salesforce careers,” highlights Aleksander Pruzinksi, Director of Digital Customer Solutions at Deloitte Digital CE. This is how they find talent and train their Salesforce professionals:

  • The company offers recruitment paths and webinars for several audiences, such as mothers and fathers returning from parental leave. They’re then paired with a mentor who oversees their return to the workplace!
  • Deloitte Digital connects with final year college and university students through career services, job fairs, student clubs, and conferences. They offer internships, working-student jobs, and junior roles. They also work with students to help non-governmental organizations through the Tech To the Rescue initiative. Students learn how the Salesforce platform can be used to do good and about Deloitte Digital as a potential employer.
  • They launched a training program (four of which are product specific) with Salesforce and MuleSoft professionals across Poland, Hungary, Albania, and South Africa. More than 120 Salesforce certifications were earned! Currently, the program is being expanded to Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.

allUpp

allUpp, an independent Austrian Salesforce consulting and reselling partner, supports startups up to international companies. Co-CEO Gerald Smech shares, “Our goal is to reach new heights together with our partners, customers, and employees. Trailhead offers the ideal platform to stay on top of the development level.” They foster Salesforce platform expertise while generating net-new talent through these programs:

  • allUpp created the Summer Academy 2021 to teach their customers the basics of the Salesforce platform, with a focus on feature development and driving innovations. Then, they partnered with the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and offered the program to students and customers for free! This event was the starting point to expand the program to other colleges and universities.
  • allUpp reached 20 job seekers—from students to career changers affected by COVID-19 to customers—in a six-week online Salesforce Admin Certification course.
