Welcome to another issue of our Student Insights blog series. Whether you've been earning badges in Trailhead or you're completely new to our community–welcome!

It’s an exciting time for Salesforce. By 2026, it’s predicted that there will be 9.3 million new jobs created and $1.6T in new business revenue within the Salesforce economy.

Today, we’re delighted to join Veronica Abalos, a Marketing Strategist at Salesforce consulting partner firm, Wipro. She’s here to tell you about her journey and how you can become part of the partner ecosystem.

Above: Veronica Abalos, Marketing Strategist at Wipro, a Salesforce  consulting partner firm, sharing her trailblazing professional journey with students at Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai.

Georgi: Hi, Veronica. Thanks for joining the Student Insights blog series! Tell us more about your current role and background.
Veronica: I’m excited to be here! I currently work as a marketing strategist at Wipro and am based in Dubai. Wipro is a global company delivering innovation-led strategy, technology, and business consulting services. Our Salesforce practice empowers clients in their digital transformation journeys with Salesforce technology.

I studied marketing at my university, so I had a very limited technical background. But I did bring a wealth of marketing knowledge to my team and a desire to learn. When it came to using the Salesforce platform, I had no experience. That’s where mentorships with my team and manager came in. Also, I independently did a lot of hands-on learning.

Georgi: Where can someone interested in a Salesforce career get those types of skills?
Veronica: I started my Salesforce learning journey on Trailhead, where you can learn all things Salesforce from Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or even non-marketing-related skills. If you’re interested in tech, you can get Admin, Developer, or even Architect-relevant skills on Trailhead with hands-on challenges, bite-sized modules, and trails.

Georgi: One final question: what’s your favorite thing about working at Wipro?
Veronica: I really enjoy wearing many different hats. It’s been a stretching experience that lets me learn something new every day! I also meet all types of partners and customers, which helps me explore different business functions and how teams work together to drive innovation. That’s something I appreciate a lot.
