It’s true... two new Accredited Professional (AP) credentials are live in Partner Learning Camp (PLC)—Communications Cloud and Public Sector Solutions. As a first step, we recommend getting your hiking gear ready and exploring our custom curriculum paths—called learning journeys—for Communications Cloud and Public Sector Solutions, which prepare you to ace these two credentials.

The Communications Cloud curriculum and Public Sector Solutions curriculum in PLC are included in these learning journeys. About the Communications Cloud AP credential:

This credential is built for partners with the knowledge, skills, and experience to discover, design, plan, and deliver business value to customers through Communications Cloud. Before you get started with the exam, we suggest you have foundational knowledge in:

• OmniStudio
• Industries Order Management
• Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Document Generation
• Digital Commerce
• Sales Cloud
• Salesforce Platform

The Communications Cloud exam has three sections:

Discovery: This initial phase starts you and your customer off on the journey to decide on their Communications Cloud solution. During this time, you’re doing a lot of detective work. You find out the state of their information technology (IT) ecosystem, learn how Communications Cloud fits into their business needs, and plan how to measure your success.

​​​Planning and design: In this second phase, you map out the Communication Cloud solution blueprint with the customer’s IT ecosystem in mind. Then, you establish the processes and timelines for making all those good things happen.

Delivery: In this final phase, dreams become reality. The customer’s Communications Cloud solution gets integrated into their current workflows. This includes migrating the customer’s existing data into their new systems and implementing either out-of-the-box (OOTB) or customized configurations.

This credential is designed for partners with the knowledge, skills, and experience architecting and driving public sector solutions that deliver business value for the customer. They know how to design, plan, and deliver business value across products, such as:

• Service Cloud
• License and Permit Management
• Inspections Management
• Grants Management
• Employee Experience Management
• Emergency Program Management
• Experience Cloud

This exam is structured in three sections:

Product-specific system knowledge: This first section of the exam covers the deep dive you and your customer take into their current systems. You take special care to note their product-specific gaps and business needs, then problem-solve to see how this credential can help.

Product configuration: At this phase, you plan all the product components your customer needs for their unique PSS. It’s also the time to set up their org and an action plan to execute their product configurations.

Implementation strategies and best practices: In this final phase, it’s time to start implementing and building everything out. This includes data model enablement and expansion, case classification and routing, solution security, and many other implementation best practices.
